HOT on the heels of the recent competition in Redruth, Tedburn St Mary Judo Club once again showed its worth when seven students attended the Katana Judo Kai competition in Bristol on Sunday, April 21.

The age-banded competition was aimed at primary and junior students.

Harriet, the club’s only primary to attend, fought well for her age and won a silver medal.

Amy, Lily and Emily all won silver medals, Bridget and Kate won bronze and Cameron won gold.

All of them fought to a very high standard.

Sensei Allen said: “I am very proud of their achievements.  They are a credit to our club.”

If anyone is interested in taking up this sport, please get in touch with Sensei Allen on 07745 940159.

It is a friendly club which meets every Friday at Tedburn St Mary Village Hall from 6.30pm to 7.30pm for primaries (5-9 years) and 7.30pm to 9pm for juniors (10-16 years) and seniors.
